The Müller family’s journey time: 8,5 hours
A holiday journey should be one thing above all: fun. Unfortunately, the fun sometimes stops before it has begun. Namely, at the airport. The Müllers from Augsburg, for example, recently booked a cruise from Rostock.
Of course, Augsburg and Rostock are nearly a world apart. It goes without saying that the Müllers wanted to fly there. So they decided on a trip including a business class flight to Hamburg. No airline flies directly to Rostock itself. So, on their day of departure, the Müllers headed off in good spirits to the Franz Josef Strauß Airport in Munich. Of course, they had to take into account the journey there as well as the handling time at the airport of at least 2 hours. Additionally, they needed a parking space. They then made their way with all their luggage to the queue at check-in and then to the queues at security and boarding. Once they arrived in Hamburg, the procedure started over. And after baggage reclaim and the free-for-all at the taxi stand at the latest, the Müllers were then no longer in such good spirits.
The Meier family’s journey time: 3 hours
The Meiers had a completely different experience. They, too, live in Augsburg and they, too, wanted to start their cruise on the same day in Rostock. However, they had booked their transfer with JETFLEET.
And they were picked up in relaxed fashion from their door by a limousine and chauffeured to the nearby airport in Augsburg. They had to arrive there only 10 minutes before departure. They then went to baggage handling and got on board – in just 5 minutes. Take-off followed hot on the heels. At this point in time, the Meiers had already saved 3.5 hours. In wonderfully relaxed fashion, they then flew directly to Rostock and then arrived at their ship by limousine. Here, they saved a further 2 hours. Hence, the Meiers saved a total of 5.5 hours. Not to mention the many nerves.
